Introduction

A micro switch is a contact mechanism with a small contact gap and a quick-acting mechanism. It performs switching actions with a specified stroke and force, and is covered by a housing with a drive rod on the outside. Because the contact gap of the switch is relatively small, it is called a micro switch, also known as a sensitive switch.
Working principle of a micro switch
External mechanical force is transmitted to the actuating spring through a transmission element (such as a pin, button, lever, roller, etc.), and when the actuating spring moves to the critical point, it generates an instantaneous action, causing the moving contact at the end of the actuating spring to quickly connect or disconnect with the fixed contact.
When the force on the transmission element is removed, the actuating spring generates a reverse action force. When the reverse stroke of the transmission element reaches the critical point of the actuating spring, the reverse action is completed instantaneously. Micro switches have small contact gaps, short action strokes, low actuating force, and rapid on-off. The speed of the moving contact's action is independent of the speed of the transmission element.
Application scenarios
Micro witches are used for automatic control and safety protection in equipment that requires frequent circuit switching. They are widely used in electronic devices, instruments and meters, mining, power systems, household appliances, electrical equipment, as well as in aerospace, aviation, ships, missiles, tanks, and other military fields. Although they are small, they play an irreplaceable role in these fields.
